'Parnasse and 'Ponine by collectingbees 'Parnasse and 'Ponine by collectingbees
Specifics. Original is 2.5x3.5 inches.
Blah blah blah.

Montparnasse is the most awesome bad guy ever (of course being of the literary variety). Eponine is more of an anti-hero, but I think she sorta counts. ;) Seriously, I am re-writing Les Miz because there isn't enough Montparnasse! harumph!

I am not going to lie, this is what am I working on in class. I am a bad student. :P

This is really cute! I just discovered 'Parnasse (Sorry, new mizzie) and I'd like to know more about him. Would you please tell me a bit about him?

Montparnasse is Éponine's boy friend, of sorts, in the book. He has very little screen and stage time, but he's one of my faves from the book.

Hence the drawing/painting of this on what seems to be an index card... :) I like it so much, I do.

I liked Montparnasse, he reminded me of Toby Crackit.

Oh, Montparnasse, you wicked dandy! Next thing we know, you'll be running about in your blue-tinted spectacles and giving codewords to small children before knifing helpless old men in the back! Oh, wait... too late. Oops!

I actually did a piece where he was in his marvelous blue spectacles relaying code to Gavroche. ;)

Ooh, this is really good. Love the colors. They give it such a 'creepy' sort of look. :)

Very interesting choice of colour scheme here! There's a lot of Les Mis pictures with dark colours with some blood red being the only bright part, so it's lovely to see something different from that.
And your bright colours work very nicely, I especially like how you've used blue on the shadow parts of the skin. And the pink is a nice add. :)

Love it! The colours are fantastic, and I would never have picked it for watercolour...a very interesting interpretations of the characters, too.

thank you! Wow! This means so much coming from an artist that I admire so so much! I work almost exclusively in watercolour. It's so wonderful when I can make people guess what it is. It means I've done my job. I am hoping to develop the characters more in an online comic sort of format. :)

Montparnasse is one of the awesome secondary villians from Les Miserables.

aw, they just take some practice. You have to "make friends" with them and cozy up with them and you'll be fine. ;)

Ha ha, okay. I'm not using watercolors now in art--a different paint, thicker, i'm not sure what it is though. XD
